School of Religion (Program in English)

Family Catechesis (Homeschool): for those of you who would like to continue to study at home.
Wednesday: Grades 1st through 8th, from 6:15 to 7:30 pm. While children attend their class, we encourage parents to spend some time with Jesus at 7pm Holy Hour.
Program begins on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, with a Mass for all registered students & families at 7:00 pm.
School of Religion Up-Coming Classes: Welcome Mass
September 11, 2024 At 7:00pm. Religious Education Classes Start September 18, 2024. Forms at the back of the Church, or visit the religion education office, or E-mail us.

Catecismo (Programa en Español)

Primera Comunión Y Confirmación: Sabados de 4:30pm a 5:45pm. Los alumnos asistirán a misa dominical los sábados a las 6:00pm como parte del programa.

Updates from the Director…

Fannie May Chocolate Fundraiser

ORDER FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE at the entrance of the Church by the Gathering Room. Please take a form fill at out and insert it in an envelope and mark it SOR along with your check payment and put it in the collection basket. Once we receive your form we’ll contact you. Delivery will be the first week of December.

1.8 oz Chocolate Bar–$2.00/each or 3 for $5.00
(Costs less than in retail stores with no sales tax)

Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate with Almond bars are available at the Church entrance after all Masses the weekends of November 9th and 16th. Chocolate bars make GREAT stocking stuffers!!

Pre-Confirmation Update

On Wednesday, June 26th the Pre-Confirmation students along with their parents joined the Eucharist Revival Mass and Pilgrimage at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary. The students enjoyed the Eucharistic Procession around the campus with other Vicariate I parishes teens gathered in Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. We ask Transfiguration parishioners to support the young teens with your prayers as they continue their process to be Confirmed.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Gospels Light’s SonSurf Beach Bash

We are very THANKFUL and blessed for all the volunteers who gave their time and talents for the Vacation Bible School. With their help the children enjoyed a wonderful encounter with Christ through bible stories, games, and music. We are also grateful for the families who registered their children for the week. A BIG THANK YOU! To all the parishioners who generously donated items for this marvelous week, so that the children could have a more enjoyable experience. May our Lord bless you abundantly.
